OFF OUR TROLLEYS in 2016!

A new project for 2016 - trolleys in Newbury

Our latest project was to install shopping trolleys in 4 sites in Newbury stuffed full of edible plants and herbs. We invited the public to smell, pick and taste the plants to see how good home-grown food is.

This was part of 2016's Newbury In Bloom competition being run by the Town Council. After several years abeyance, this competition was re-launched this year and we were happy to provide publicity for the event on our trolleys. You can find out more about the completion at the Town Council's website  here.

Below are more photos of us planting and delivering the trolleys to the sites who kindly agreed to host them from June until July and August.

Here we are at Growing2gether on a wet and windy May afternoon planting up our trolleys. The team at Growing2gether had sown an unreasonable number of seeds

for us in April and finally, after this slow Spring, we were able to plant them up.

Keep going to see what the finished product looked like in town....
